Pongratulations!

We intend to toast our union with a glass or two of Pongracz, whilst the sun sinks over Inhlosane Mountain. If you are able to, please bring us a bottle to add to the ice bucket. Cheers!

And remind us about accomodation...

Those of you who have booked beds in the house and cabins know who you are. Towels and bedding are provided, and you can pay the reminder of the money due on the weekend.

For the rest of you, there are beautiful green lawns to camp on. Remember your tent, mattress and lots of snuggly blankies. It will cost R50 per person per night to camp.

So what time should we arrive?

Those of you staying with us at Mount Park are most welcome to arrive anytime from lunchtime on Friday 10 April. The ceremony will be on Saturday 11 April, so those of you just joining us for the festivities will need to arrive sometime before 4pm. Everyone is asked to gather under the massive old oak tree at 4pm.

And what about food?

For those staying over there is plenty of fridge and freezer space available. We are going to have a braai on Friday evening so bring meat, salads and rolls. We'll be providing supper on the Saturday night. If you're keen for a fry-up on Sunday morning, bring eggs, bacon etc and we'll cook a monster hangover brekkie! And then for the rest of the weekend, bring whatever you schmaak. There is ample kitchen space - each of the cabins has a kitchenette and then there is a big ol' farmstyle kitchen in the main house.

What should we bring?

Camp chairs or picnic blanket to sit on during the ceremony.
Bring an umbrella. Never know, you may need it.
Bring your own booze if you prefer a particular poison, or prop up the cash bar.
Walking shoes – there’s an incredible forest to explore.
Swimming costume.
Warm clothes. Just in case – it is the Misty Midlands, after all.
Bring your camera – and your USB cord: we’d like you to drop your pics onto a laptop before you go home.

So what should we wear?

Super-sharp and gorgeous. Cuffs, collars, ruffs and rakish hats. Saucy skirts, flounce and fishnets. Tailoring and twinsets. Brogues and corsets, stilettos and gloves. Something classy, timeless and easy on the eye. Live it up a little. It’s a party!

Time to calm down to a mild panic

Suddenly 2009 is upon us and we have just over 2 months to our LoveDeclarationCelebration! Which seems like a fairly long time until you realise that it’s only 9 weekends away. And when you have weeks that are as manic as ours, you realise that the weekends are the only time left for planning and preparations. So if you don’t see as much of Trav and I over the next 9 weekends, it’s because we’re busy hunting down fabric, bargains and goodies for our LoveFest. See you all soon!
